I am immensely proud to have the privilege of serving as headteacher of Saint Richard Gwyn Catholic High School, Flint. This website will give you a flavour of what this school is like. We are forward-thinking, vibrant community dedicated to providing a calm and purposeful school environment in which young people have every opportunity to succeed. We give them opportunity to excel academically, on the sporting field and in the arts.

Saint Richard Gwyn celebrated its 60th anniversary year in 2014. We are an established local school with an excellent reputation, highly regarded in the wider community of Flintshire, which is the catchment for the school. We are a school with faith at its heart; additionally, welcoming those who have other beliefs or none in a spirit of openness and respect.

The positive attitude to learning which visitors to our school experience leaves them with a lasting impression of amazement about our young people’s obvious enjoyment of their time in school. We have a broad and engaging curriculum which enthuses learners, taught by dedicated and hard-working staff. Our caring approach helps learners to feel supported from the moment they start with us.

Our doors are open for visits any time, when you can see the normal daily working of the school. Come along and see what is so special about us, and how success is at the heart of what we do.
